Today you travel on roads leading east into the Bolaven Plateau. The Bolaven Plateau is known for its cooler temperatures as it is located high above the Mekong Valley. Your first stop will be a visit to a Katu village known as Houey Ten, which is known for tradesmen specializing in knife making. We will then be stopping to visit a tea plantation, followed by a stop at Tad Fan Waterfall, which is a picturesque double chute waterfall. Our next stop takes us to a coffee plantation, and then to Tha Teng Market, a lively ethnic minority food market. We continue our tour to explore another interesting minority village, Ban Bong Neua, which is an Alak village that exhibits a sacrificial alter. We will arrive at the beautiful Tadlo Waterfall to enjoy a late lunch. There will be some time for you to relax and cool off in the pools which are situated below the waterfall. Following your late lunch, we will travel back to Pakse, stop to visit Ban Houi Hun, a weaving village of the Alak people, and then view another picturesque waterfall known as Paxuam. You will arrive back in Pakse by the late afternoon.
