Destinations: Luang Prabang
Following breakfast, we will be visiting the Royal Palace Museum. This museum holds a wide range of interesting artifacts and is presented by an guided audio tour. Our travels will continue with a tour of the magnificent temple known as Wat Xieng Thong. This temple is recognized for its low sweeping roof which extends close to the ground and which is represents a classical style known and recognized being seen in Luang Prabang. We will also visit Wat Visoun, which due to its shape, is also known as “The Watermelon Stupa”. We will then be visiting a silversmith shop before having lunch.
In the afternoon, we will go to the weaving and textile villages of Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek. We will see and explore the Arts and Ethnology Centre which provides us with an excellent insight into the ethnic mix and culture of Laos. Our last stop of the day will take us to Mt Phousi. We will comfortably climb up and witness a spectacular sunset and a beautiful panoramic view of Luang Prabang and the Mekong River. Your overnight stay will be in Luang Prabang
