Itineraries

Day 1

Siem Reap Arrival: (-/-/-)

The day will begin with a visit to the National Museum which exhibits 5000 objects including Angkorian era statues, lingas, artifacts. Most notably the legendary statue of the 'Leper King" - and a wide collection of pieces from later periods. You will visit the Royal Palace and the nearby by Silver Pagoda.

Following lunch, your guide will take you to see Wat Phnom and the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum. Your overnight accommodation will be in Phnom Penh.

Day 2

Phnom Phen - Siem Reap Arrival: (-/-/-)

Following breakfast, you will transfer to Phnom Penh airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon your arrival at Siem Reap airport, you will be met and driven to your hotel. Today’s activities will focus on the Angkor Temple complex, of which Angkor Wat is most prominent. You will explore Angkor Wat itself, which is the largest temple and considered by many people to be the most impressive temple in the complex. As sunset nears, you will walk to the summit of Phnom Bakheng Hill will afford a wonderful panorama of the whole complex. Weather permitting, you will witness the Angkor Wat complex back lit by the rays of the setting sun. Your overnight stay will be in Siem Reap.

Day 3

Siem Reap: (-/-/-)

Today will be devoted to the Temple complex, of which Angkor Wat is most prominent. You will begin your tour today with a visit to Angkor Thom, beginning with the Bayon. The Bayon is a strange structure which incorporates several architectural changes reflecting a change from Hinduism (the foundations) to Buddhism (the superstructure). Your next stop will be to the Elephant and Leper King Terraces followed by the Baphoun Temple, which is nearing the end of an eight-year multi-million dollar restoration program. Following lunch, you will witness Ta Prohm, which has been overcome by massive tree roots. The physical condition of Ta Prohmisis is typical of the entire complex as when it was discovered in 1860 by French naturalist Henri Mouhot. Your guide will then show you the Prasat Kravan (also known as the Cardomom Sanctuary), Srah Srang Lake and the landing terrace. Srah Srang is not frequently visited by tourists and can be a sunrise alternative to Angkor Wat. Your overnight stay will be in Siem Reap.

Day 4

Siem Reap Departure: (-/-/-)

After your breakfast, you will be at your leisure until your driver arrives at your hotel to take you to Siem Reap airport for your departing flight.
