Following breakfast at your hotel, you will take a short journey to Hoi An. From the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An was a major international commercial port for Chinese, French, Dutch, Japanese, Arab and Portuguese traders. These traders came to Hoi An to primarily trade in high grade silk and ceramics, both of which are still produced in the area. Today, Hoi An is a quaint and peaceful riverside town, which is popular with tourists for its architecture, its custom tailor shops, and for its numerous cafes. Many of the buildings along the narrow streets have remained unchanged for more than one century.
You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter of Hoi An. You will visit the Chinese Assembly Halls, Chua Ong Pagoda, the 200-year-old Tam Ky ancestral house, and also the Japanese Bridge. You will have ample time to shop or relax following your tour. Your overnight stay will be in Hoi An.
