Destinations: Mandalay - Mingun - Sagaing - Mandalay

 

You will depart this morning from Mandalay on a private boat which will cruise along the Ayeyarwaddy River to the village of Mingun, which is a small village located on the west bank of the river. You will visit the Settawya Pagoda, Mingun Pahtotawgyi, the world renowned ringing Mingun Bell and Myatheintan Pagoda. This afternoon, you will travel to Sagaing Hill, which is considered by many as the living center of Buddhist faith in Myanmar today. The hillsides are populated with numerous Pagodas and Monasteries. As your tour continues, you will then visit Khaungmudaw Pagoda. In the evening, you will enjoy the sunset from U Bein Bridge, the world's longest made of teak wood which was built in the 1800s by the mayor U Bein. You will then return to Mandalay where you will enjoy your overnight stay.
